چکیده

The halo orbits around the Earth-Moon L2 libration point provide a great candidate orbit for a lunar communication satellite, where the satellite remains above the horizon on the far side of the Moon being visible from the Earth at all times. Such orbits are generally unstable, and station-keeping strategies are required to control the satellite to remain close to the reference orbit. A recently developed Modified Chebyshev-Picard Iteration method is used to compute corrective maneuvers at discrete time intervals for station-keeping of halo orbit satellite, and several key parameters affecting the mission performance are analyzed through numerical simulations. Compared with previously published results, the presented method provides a computationally efficient stationkeeping approach which has a simple control structure that does not require weight turning and, most importantly, does not need state transition matrix or gradient information computation. The performance of the presented approach is shown to be comparable with published methods.

Modified frame algorithm and its convergence acceleration by Chebyshev method

The aim of this paper is to improve the convergence rate of frame algorithm based on Richardson iteration and Chebyshev methods. Based on Richardson iteration method, we first square the existing convergence rate of frame algorithm which in turn the number of iterations would be bisected and increased speed of convergence is achieved. Afterward, by using Chebyshev polynomials, we improve this s...

Multiple solutions of a nonlinear reactive transport model using least square pseudo-spectral collocation method

The recognition and the calculation of all branches of solutions of the nonlinear boundary value problems is difficult obviously. The complexity of this issue goes back to the being nonlinearity of the problem. Regarding this matter, this paper considers steady state reactive transport model which does not have exact closed-form solution and discovers existence of dual or triple solutions in so...

Solving Differential Equations Using Modified VIM

In this paper a modification of He's variational iteration method (VIM) has been employed to solve Dung and Riccati equations. Sometimes, it is not easy or even impossible, to obtain the first few iterations of VIM, therefore, we suggest to approximate the integrand by using suitable expansions such as Taylor or Chebyshev expansions.

A New Numerical Technique for the Analysis of Parametrically Excited Nonlinear Systems

A new computational scheme using Chebyshev polynomials is proposed for the numerical solution of parametrically excited nonlinear systems. The state vector and the periodic coefficients are expanded in Chebyshev polynomials and an integral equation suitable for a Picard-type iteration is formulated. A Chebyshev collocation is applied to the integral with the nonlinearities reducing the problem ...
